Tenpin Printworks Manchester

A brand new Tenpin bowling alley in the heart of Manchester, and on the site of the former Hard Rock Café & Casino.

The venue is split on two levels.  The venue has a number of functions and features, in addition to the traditional bowling lanes, including a karaoke room. 

One of the biggest challenges for the site was the relatively small entrance area, which is also located on the opposite side of the main Printworks complex. 

To draw attention to the venue, Over Audio designed and installed LED panels and signage to the entire entrance frontage.  All controlled via Madrix software, which gives a stunning and constantly moving signage which attracts the eye to the venue from some distance

internally we designed a distributed sound system, with multiple zones.  All controlled via a Cloud distribution system, which allows remote volume control and input levels in each zone.

The bowling lane scoring monitors are normally mounted above the lane approach, but due to the restriced access we mounted them on the rear curtain wall above each lane.   Due to the distance from the player, these screens were increased from the normal 43" to 75" screens to ensure legibility.

The karaoke pod was customised using bespoke audio and lighting equipment, to ensure an immersive experience.

In addition to this, remote audio inputs were placed on both levels and connected to additional audio speakers to allow remote DJ inputs as required.
